Attending MAKS 2019, Indonesian Air Force Chief of Staff Discusses Continuation of Su-35 Procurement
avten.asia - The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) Chief of Staff, Air Chief Marshal Yuyu Sutisna attended the aviation and aerospace exhibition in Russia, the International Aviation and Space Salon (Mezhdunarodnyj Aviatsionno-Kosmicheskij Salon/ MAKS) 2019.
"Indonesian Air Force Chief of Staff, Air Chief Marshal Yuyu Sutisna attended the International Aviation & Space Salon, MAKS 2019 at Zhukovsky Airport, Moscow, Tuesday (27/8/2019)," chirping the Air Force's official Twitter account (@_TNIAU), Tuesday night.
In his tweet, it was stated that Yuyu had an official meeting with Rosoboronexport, a Russian state-owned company in charge of exporting military products.
The meeting discussed two things. The main thing that was discussed was related to the continuation of Sukhoi Su-35 Flanker-E fighter jet procurement for TNI AU. As is known, the 4.5 generation jet fighter is a replacement for the F-5E/ F Tiger II of 14th Air Squadron that has been retired.
Then it was discussed about maintenance of the Su-27/30 Flanker which is currently operated by the Air Force.

MAKS 2019 was held at Zhukovsky International Airport, Zhukovsky, Moscow, Russia. This exhibition takes place on August 27-September 1 2019.
